This place seems to be a popular Kaiten Zushi or conveyor belt sushi on Awaji island of Japan.  I can see lots of customers waiting for their tables and their car park is full.  We decided to try this out as it was rated reasonably well on the Internet.

When we sat down and took a look around, we were not very comfortable as the whole restaurant was untidy and didn't give us a feeling of a good standard of cleanliness.  The pictures on the wall were not straight, small plates were not clean, and some sushi had covers around them and some didn't.

We ordered several and picked up some sushi from the conveyor belt.  Sushi itself was not too bad but unforunately their soy sauce was of Kansai soy sauce (a little sweet) and a guy like me from Tokyo is not used to the taste of this type of soy sauce, especially for sushi.  The soy sauce made whole experience a little dull.

We eventually spent 5,356 yen for 20 plates.  Their plates ranged from 120 yen to 500 yen (when asking for bill, they will count the number of plates we used and the prices depend on the colors of the plates).

Oh I almost forgot, one more thing I remember is that a portion of the fish in their Ara Jiru (fish soup) was cold and that put me off the whole experience...

One bright side of the restaurant is that they serve local fish which we will probably not get such fish at nation wide franchised Kaiten Zushi restaurants.  Though, I think I will not come back here.
