Harie is a small community in Takashima city of Shiga Prefecture in Japan. It has around 170 houses in around 130 hectare area, and out of 170 houses, around 110 houses has their own spring water coming out of the ground. The people there use the water for daily activities such as for cooking, drinking, washing vegetables, and even as a refrigerator. Water is so clean and the community is very pretty.
Since most of the sprint water/kitchens are inside the private houses, you cannot really see how they are like. If interested, you can join a local tour. More information is at http://harie-syozu.jp/guide (in Japanese).
