We finally visited Himeji, which has a world heritage Japanese castle, that is also a national treasure of Japan.  We arrived the town at night and decided to have something original in this town.  We tried to go into a coupe of popular izakayas (Japanese pubs), but both were full, and while walking around, we found this place which seemed to have full of people and some Himeji food.  They happened to have a table for us so we hopped in (we happened to hop in to a branch located at the north of the Himeji station and later on we learnt that they have the main restaurant in the south).

They have a bunch of stuff and we tried to order those that are from Himejie, like Himeji rencon (lotus roots) salad, Hijime oden (no translation... bunch of stuff such as fish balls, fried veges in a soup) that is a little different from oden from other regions.  Their oden has a lot of than a pinch of ginger and a little saltier than normal oden.

In general, their foods are nice, probably better than average.  Perhaps you can go for those stuff from Himeji.  Don't order hotate (scallop); we found it not very nice and not very fresh.  And don't order Edamame (boiled soybeans), some of the beans are missing as if they had already been taken by another person before coming to our table.  Fried noodles tasted like instant noodles... Though, the prices were OK, and some of their foods were nice.

We would probably come back here upon our next visit if other popular eateries were full.
