Kurashiki You Bikan Area (Aesthetic Area)

Kurashiki is one of few cities in Japan which the Americans did not burn down during World War 2. That is why we can still see beautiful old school Japanese houses and buildings in this area. Another reason is that the city of Kurashiki decided to preserve the area a long time ago. Although it is very much commercialiszd, still a nice area to visit. The main area along the river is beautiful but if you visit Honmachi (本町) or Higashimachi (東町), those areas are less commercialized. I am sure I will be back again.
