I was surprised to learn that there is a take away shop selling Hainanese chicken rice in a small city of Komatsushima located in a rather country side of Tokushima prefecture of Japan.  

The photo above was taken from the top of the hill in Hinomine Ohmiko Koen located south of Komatsushima city.  You can see the take away shop at the end of the street.  

And here is the chicken rice they serve.

Looks yummy?  Yea actually not bad at all, although it is quite different from what I used to have in Singapore.  They have few different types of sauce and I chose chili and garlic sauce.  It is a little too salty and their chili sauce is fairly different from Singapore ones.  It comes with large portion of chicken and rice so one plate makes you full. Although this is a take away shop, it has a small table and counter outside where you can eat the food you buy from the shop.  And if you decide to eat there, they will give you a small bowl of soup.  

Overall, it was good although it did not remind me of Singapore chicken rice.  I will probably be back here when I am around.
